Initiated in 1997, the MSDE Fine Arts Education Advisory Panel is appointed annually by the State Superintendent of Schools to advise the State Board of Education and the Department on policy for fine arts education and its implementation including establishing standards and curriculum, instructional practice, accountability, professional development, resource and facilities management. The panel includes representatives of school systems, key MSDE personnel, institutions of higher education and cultural organizations.
