Advocacy

Advocacy is the act of mobilizing individuals to spark changes in arts education policies at the local, state, and national levels. Advocacy that effectively transforms policy on the state and local level is critical to ensuring high-quality arts education for all Maryland schoolchildren at all levels. Advocacy works when advocates are properly informed and active in the process. AEMS Alliance dedicates substantial time and resources to disseminate information, convene arts education supporters, and to advocate—along with partner organizations and institutions—for policies and practices that sustain and strengthen high-quality arts education opportunities and programs.

Be knowledgeable, be informed, advocate, and participate!
